In Toddler Room 1, finding stink bugs is something like a sport. Once one is found, the kids go on the hunt looking for more. Our resident stink bug catcher is Louisa, who loves the little critters and enjoys taking them out and putting them in the bushes.
Recently, we put one into a bug jar with a magnifying glass on the top so we could all get a better look at it, without having to touch it. This prompted an impromptu, "Let's draw the stink bug!" session.
